The Missing Blogger.....

I know I haven't been doing a very good job of keeping up lately, but for good reason. We've been really busy! Not to skip too far ahead, but this past weekend was the culmination of a lot of planning. My dad turned the big 6-0 on Saturday and we threw him a big bash! All of our concerns about him suspecting were laid to rest when he walked in the door totally surprised (and already half schnockered). Despite a few glitches, we were able to throw him off track by insinuating that there was a party at our house on Sunday. Thank you Uncle John for all your efforts to get him out of the house, to Joe for getting him to your house, and to everyone for attending. It was very much appreciated by my dad and I am sure he will never forget it! I have posted some additional pictures for everyone to enjoy!

Zoom Zoom

Well, I know it's been forever since my last update, but there has been a lot going on, leaving me little time to commit to blogger... First the big news... We have a new edition to the family! Isn't she pretty?! She is a Mazda Protege5, which is kinda like a sassy station wagon. There is plenty of room in the "way back" for Denver once we have a car seat inside among other benefits. It was hard to say goodbye to Betsy since we had been together for so long (7 years), but the time had come. So, please help me name my new wheels! I'm thinking something that goes with Mazda, maybe, like Molly or Moxy, or it could go with Protege... Please post your suggestions.

Well, I guess you guys want to know what else we have been doing... We closed out 2007 with Katie and Ian at their apartment. We played Wii, ate lots of wonderful food, and played games. Unfortunately, Matt got himself a little sick with his birthday festivities, so he ended up passing out at about 9:30pm... (Ian decided that he looked cold, so he covered Matt up with all kinds of random coats, pillows, etc.)

Since then, we have been dinner party fools! As most of you know, there was Scotty & Tracy's on the 4th, then we hosted a Sushi party at our house on Saturday... I have to say, that I don't know if I will go out for sushi much anymore! Dan, Ian, and Matt did a great job of planning the menu while Katie and I sat back and enjoyed the results.
